I am submitting a chapter for a book about success Friday, August 14, 2020. Jack Canfield, co-founder of Chicken Soup for the Soul, and Nick Nanton of Celebrity Branding are spearheading a new book about Success. How lucky am I?
Have you thought of all the successes in your life, and what made them happen?
I have been told that I need to celebrate my successes more. I started out celebrating with shallow, but short-term fun things–like sparkly sandals and take-out food. At least it got me started.
Ideas for Ceremony Celebrations:
- Gaze at a lit candle
- Enjoy an ice cream cone or favorite splurge
- Be in nature
- Dance or sing like no one is watching!
- Hula hoop or hip-hip-hooray with movement
- Bring nature indoors: plants, flowers, pine cones, gems, rocks
- Be outside at sunrise or sunset- the In-Between times
For an insight into meaningful celebrations, read Sacred Ceremony by Steven D. Farmer, Ph.D. I love the book’s cover. It has Stonehenge at sunset under a sliver of the moon with a person “perched” on top of Stonehenge playing the flute.
Could you join me in stepping out of our comfort zones? The children and the children yet to be born will feel safe in their deepest gifts if the world is a happier neighborhood. Belated, Mr. Fred Rogers dedicated his life to this goal. I salute him.
